Diplomová práce se zabývá analýzou a interpretací vybraných her z repertoáru Divadla Vlasty Buriana. Prostřednictvím této analýzy je charakterizováno divadlo i samotná osobnost jednoho z předních komiků 1. poloviny 20. století a jsou odkryta tehdejší společenská, problematická témata. Teorie podává přehled o malých divadelních scénách 1. poloviny 20. století, o scénách avantgardních a následně pak o osobnosti i umění Vlasty Buriana a charakteru jeho divadla. Pro vymezení společenských témat té doby, zachycených v díle, je pak stěžejní zejména druhá část. Jejím obsahem je samotná analýza vybraných her C. k polní maršálek a U pokladny stál, která je zaměřena jak na kompozici dramatu, tak na interpretaci jejich významu.The master thesis deals with the analysis and interpretation of selected plays from the repertoire of the Vlasta Burian Theatre. Through this analysis, the theatre and the personality of one of the leading comedians of the first half of the 20th century are characterised and the social and problematic issues of the time are revealed. The theory provides an overview of the small theatre scenes of the first half of the 20th century, the avant-garde scenes and then the personality and art of Vlasta Burian and the character of his theatre. The second part is particularly crucial for defining the social themes of the time captured in the work. Its content is the actual analysis of the selected plays C. k. polní maršálek and U poklady stál, which focuses on the composition of the drama and the interpretation of their meaning.
