Tato práce se zabývá mediálním obrazem NFL, tedy nejvýznamnější ligy amerického fotbalu, v České republice. Jejím cílem je za pomoci kvantitativní obsahové analýzy zmapovat vývoj zpravodajství o této sportovní soutěži v českém online médiu sport.idnes.cz, a to v letech 2013-2015 a 2019-2021. Teoretická část obsahuje vymezení teoretických konceptů týkajících se především procesu výběru publikovaných zpráv, praktická část poté prezentuje přípravu samotného výzkumu, jeho provedení a výsledky. Kvantitativní obsahová analýza ukázala, že míra zpravodajství o NFL na serveru sport.idnes.cz v období 2019-2021 oproti období 2013-2015 výrazně stoupla.This thesis deals with the media image of the NFL, the top league in American football, in the Czech Republic. Its aim is to use quantitative content analysis to map the development of news coverage of this sport league in the Czech online news website sport.idnes.cz in the years 2013-2015 and 2019-2021. The theoretical part contains the definition of theoretical concepts related mainly to the process of selection of published news, the practical part then presents the preparation of the research itself, its implementation and results. The quantitative content analysis showed that the level of coverage of the NFL on sport.idnes.cz increased significantly in the period 2019-2021 compared to the period 2013-2015.
