V tejto práci sa zameriavame na archetypálnu analýzu postáv z filmov Shrek a Shrek 2. Konkrétne sa jedná o Shreka, Lorda Farquaada a Dobrú vílu. Analýza sa zaoberá archetypom vo vzťahu k antagonistom a ich interakcií v kontexte subverzívne rozprávkového naratívu franšízy Shrek. Cieľom je poukázať na rozdielne a podobné črty týchto postáv a rozobrať ich vymedzenie z daných archetypov. Aby bolo možné sledovať toto komplexné správanie archetypov je potrebné sledovať morálne zásady jedincov a na základe toho determinovať, či sa jedná o kladnú alebo zápornú postavu. Postavy sú analyzované za pomoci teórie Carla Gustava Junga, ktorý skúma a rozoberá rysy archetypálnych konceptov. Zameriavame sa na to, či je Shrek antagonistom, na koľko je Dobrá víla kladná postava a či Lord Farquaad ostáva jednotný alebo taktiež prechádza premenou. Na základe bližšieho pozorovania týchto postáv bude možné sledovať ich vývoj a prípadnú premenu.In this work, we focus on the archetypal analysis of the characters from the films Shrek and Shrek 2. Specifically, it concerns Shrek, Lord Farquaad, and the Good Fairy. The analysis deals with the archetype in relation to the antagonists and their interactions in the context of the subversively fairy-tale narrative of the Shrek franchise. The goal is to point out the different and similar features of these characters and to analyse their definition from the given archetypes. In order to be able to observe this complex behaviour of archetypes, it is necessary to observe the moral principles of individuals and, based on this, determine whether they are a positive or negative character. The characters are analysed using Carl Gustav Jung's theory, which explores and analyses the features of archetypal concepts. We focus on whether Shrek is an antagonist, how much the Good Fairy is a positive character, and whether Lord Farquaad remains united or undergoes a transformation as well. Based on a closer observation of these characters, it will be possible to follow their development and eventual transformation.
