Diplomová práce je zaměřena na život a tvorbu českého luteránského kazatele Víta Jakeše. Zohledňuje rovněž dějiny luteránů v Čechách a specifika jejich tvorby. Součástí je také analýza a rozbor osmi digitalizovaných Jakešových spisů, které jsou rozděleny do třech větších okruhů dle základních principů protestantského kázání. První okruh, složený z pěti spisů, je zaměřen na eschatologická kázání s vidinou blížícího se konce světa, morových ran, přírodních katastrof a válek, druhý okruh, obsahující pouze jeden spis, reprezentuje výchovná a mravoučná kázání, manželství, východu dítěte a postavení ženy ve společnosti, a třetí okruh, čítající dva spisy, obsahuje poznámky k luterány velmi oblíbenému pohřebnímu kázání věnovanému Albrechtu Smiřickému ze Smiřic.The thesis focuses on the life and work of the Czech Lutheran preacher Vít Jakeš. It also considers the history of Lutherans in Bohemia and the specifics of their work. It also includes an analysis of eight digitized Jakeš´s writings, which are divided into three major chapters according to the basic principles of Protestant preaching. The first chapter (consisting of five writings) focuses on eschatological sermons with visions of the approaching end of the world,plagues, natural disasters, and wars; the second chapter (consisting only one digitized writing) represents educational and moral sermons, marriage, child-rearing, and the position of women in society; and the third chapter (comprising two writings) contains notes on a funeral sermon dedicated to Albrecht of Smiřice, a very popular funeral sermon among Lutherans.
