Diplomová práca sa venuje problematike prvej pomoci a kardiopulmonálnej resuscitácie detí vo veku 0 - 3 rokov. Teoretická časť práce spočíva v popise charakteristických úrazov v tomto vekovom rozhraní, v prvej pomoci pri jednotlivých úrazoch a stavoch a kardiopulmonálnej resuscitácie detí. Hlavným cieľom diplomovej práce bolo zistiť úroveň gramotnosti rodičov v oblasti prvej pomoci a kardiopulmonálnej resuscitácie novorodenca, dojčaťa a batoľaťa. Meracím nástrojom deskriptívneho výskumu je online dotazník vlastnej konštrukcie, ktorý bol vyplnený rodičmi prostredníctvom 8 materských a rodinných centier na Slovensku. Výskumná vzorka bola získaná príležitostným výberom a pozostávala zo 173 respondentov (140 žien, 33 mužov) s vekovým priemerom 31,96 rokov (SD=4,5). Zistili sme, že priemerná hodnota hrubého skóre dotazníka dosahuje úroveň 13,61 bodov (SD=2,5), pričom maximálny počet možného zisku bodov bolo 20. Nezistili sme štatisticky významný vzťah medzi úrovňou gramotnosti rodičov a vekom a dosiahnutým stupňom vzdelania. Štatisticky významný vzťah sme preukázali medzi úrovňou gramotnosti rodičov a počtom detí rodičov a zdravotníckym povolaním, a tiež sme zistili, že matky v našom výskumnom súbore mali signifikantne vyššiu úroveň gramotnosti v porovnaní s otcami. Ďalej sme zistili, že medzi úrovňou gramotnosti rodičov v prvej pomoci a kardiopulmonálnej resuscitácii dieťaťa a účasťou na kurze prvej pomoci neexistuje štatisticky významný vzťah, čo mohlo byť spôsobené najmä absolvovaním kurzov prvej pomoci bez špecifického zamerania na detskú populáciu (n=106), pričom kurz prvej pomoci zameraný na detskú populáciu absolvovalo len 8 respondentov. V našom výskumnom súbore sa väčšina respondentov zúčastnila kurzu pred viac ako 7 rokmi, a teda súhlasíme s literatúrou ohľadom nutnosti opakovaného absolvovania kurzov prvej pomoci pre dosiahnutie retencie gramotnosti v tejto život zachraňujúcej problematike. Rodičia, ktorí sa zúčastnili akéhokoľvek kurzu prvej pomoci majú štatisticky významne vyššie sebavedomie pri vnímaní schopnosti poskytnúť svojmu dieťaťu prvú pomoc v prípade akéhokoľvek zranenia alebo stavu v porovnaní s rodičmi, ktorí kurz prvej pomoci neabsolvovali. Výsledky diplomovej práce potvrdzujú význam pravidelného vzdelávania sa rodičov v oblasti prvej pomoci a kardiopulmonálnej resuscitácie dieťaťa.The diploma thesis deals with first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation of children aged 0 - 3. The theoretical part summarizes and describes characteristic injuries at this age group, first aid for individual injuries and conditions and cardiopulmonary resuscitation of children. The aim of the diploma thesis was to determine the level of parents' awareness about the first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation of the newborn, infant and toddler. The measuring tool used for descriptive research was an online self-design questionnaire, which was completed by parents through 8 maternity and family centres in Slovakia. The research sample was obtained by an occasional selection and consisted of total 173 respondents (140 women, 33 men) with an age average of 31.96 years (SD = 4.5). We found that the mean score of the questionnaire was 13,61 points (SD = 2,5), with a maximum possible profit of 20 points. We have not found a statistically significant relationship between the level of parents' awareness and age and the level of education achieved. We have shown a statistically significant relationship between the level of parents´ awareness and the number of children of parents and the medical profession. We have also found that mothers in our research sample had significantly higher levels of awareness than fathers. In addition, we found that there is no statistically significant relationship between the level of parents´ awareness about first aid and cardiopulmonary resusciation and participation in the first aid training, which could be due to the attending of first aid training without a specific focus on the paediatric population (n = 106) and only 8 respondents have attended a first aid course targeting the paediatric population. In our research sample, the majority of respondents attended a training more than seven years ago, hence we agree with the literature on the need to repeat first-aid training in order to achieve the retention of awareness in this life-saving problem. Parents who have participated in the first aid course have statistically significantly higher self-confidence in the perception of the ability to provide first aid to their child in the event of any injury or conditions compared to parents who have not completed the first aid course. The results of the thesis confirm the importance of the parents' regular education in the field of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation of the child.
