Tato bakalářská práce je literární rešerší z knih a odborných článků na téma vnitrodruhové a mezidruhové rozdíly v délkách vývojových period u ptáků. V úvodní části se zabývá obecně rodičovskou péčí u ptáků a rozdíly v kladení vajec a ve velikosti snůšky. Hlavní část je věnována rozdílům v délce jednotlivých vývojových period a faktorům, které tyto rozdíly způsobují. Délka inkubační periody je ovlivněna hlavně inkubačním chováním rodičů, teplotou prostředí a predačním tlakem. U některých druhů dochází k asynchronnímu líhnutí mláďat, které způsobuje věkové a velikostí rozdíly mezi mláďaty během období hnízdní péče. Délka období hnízdní péče je ovlivněna hlavně predací, velikostí mláďat a dostupností potravy. Po vylétnutí z hnízda jsou mláďata altriciálních druhů stále z části nebo zcela závislá na potravě získané od rodičů. Délka období pohnízdní péče je ovlivněna hlavně dostupností potravy a zeměpisnou šířkou.This Bachelor thesis is a literary research expansion from books and scholarly articles on the topic of intraspecies and interspecies variation in the lengths of developmental periods in birds. In the opening section, it deals generally with parental care in birds, differences in egg laying and in the size of the clutch. The main section is devoted to differences in the length of individual developmental periods and the factors that cause these differences. The length of the incubation period is mainly influenced by the incubation behaviour of the parents, the temperature of the environment and predation pressures. Some species experience asynchronous hatching of offspring, which causes age and size differences between offspring during the nestling period. The length of the nestling period is mainly influenced by predation, offspring size and food availability. After flying out of the nest, the chicks of the altricial species are still partially or completely dependent on food obtained from their parents. The length of the postfledging period is mainly influenced by the availability of food and latitude.
