Diplomová práce byla napsána za účelem srovnání a popisu vývoje učiva o lidských rasách v učebnicích zeměpisu používaných na území České republiky. Teoretická část se zabývá obecně teorií o lidských rasách, jejím vývojem a přístupy k ní. Přibližuje také metodu obsahové analýzy, s jejímž využitím byly analyzovány zeměpisné učebnice v praktické části. Dále je na základě důležitých historických milníků rozděleno období od Rakouska-Uherska po současnost a v každém období obsahovou analýzou zkoumány učebnice zeměpisu. Výsledkem diplomové práce je charakteristika vývoje rasové teorie v učebnicích používaných na území České republiky. Analýza zkoumá přístup autorů, jejich tendence k rasismu a celkové pojetí této části učiva. Na základě výsledné analýzy lze říci, že přístup autorů se od období Rakouska-Uherska výrazně změnil, hlavně v oblastech rasistické ideologie a využívaného rasového dělení. Nejvýraznější bod zlomu byl po druhé světové válce, pravděpodobně vlivem větší citlivosti obyvatelstva Evropy na jakékoliv nadřazené chování vůči jiným skupinám lidí.The diploma thesis was written to compare and describe the development of the curriculum on human races in geography textbooks used in the territory of the Czech Republic. The theoretical part deals with the theory of human races in general, its development and approaches to it. It also approximates the method of content analysis, which was used to analyze geography textbooks in the practical part. Furthermore, the period from Austria-Hungary to the present is divided based on important historical milestones, and the geography textbooks in each period are examined by content analysis. The result of the thesis is a description of the development of racial theory in textbooks used in the territory of the Czech Republic. The analysis examines the approach of the authors, their tendencies towards racism and the overall concept of this part of the curriculum. Based on the resulting analysis, it can be said that the approach of the authors has changed significantly since the Austro-Hungarian period, mainly in the areas of racist ideology and the used racial division. The most significant turning point was after the Second World War, probably due to the greater sensitivity of the population of Europe to any superior behavior towards other groups of people.
