Tato přehledová práce pojednává o historii jaderných zbraní, a to od jejich vzniku až po jejich současnou prezenci a problematiku ve světě. Cílem bylo části pojednat o historickém vývoji jaderných zbraní, popsat bojová užití jaderných zbraní ve válečných konfliktech, popsat jejich ničivé účinky a rozebrat a diskutovat trendy jaderného zbrojení v současnosti. V teoretické části práce je uvedena typologie jaderných zbraní, jejich funkce, jsou zde uvedeny nosiče jaderných zbraní a je zde pojednáno o vývoji jaderných zbraní do roku 1990. V praktické části práce jsou definovány cíle a metodika výzkumu, a následně je zde na základě rešeršního šetření pojednáno o vývoji jaderných zbraní po roce 1990 a o jejich modernizaci.This thesis discusses the history of nuclear weapons, from their first creation to their current presence and issues in the world. The aim was to discuss the historical development of nuclear weapons, to describe the combat use of nuclear weapons in war conflicts, to describe their destructive effects and to analyze and discuss the current trends in nuclear weapons. In the theoretical part of the thesis, the typology of nuclear weapons is presented, their functions, the carriers of nuclear weapons are presented, and the development of nuclear weapons until 1990 is discussed. In the research part of the thesis, the goals and methodology of the research are defined, and then, based on the research, the development of nuclear weapons after 1990 and their modernization is discussed here.
