El propósito de este estudio es examinar el período de la Transición espa?ola a través de la novela de Javier Cercas, Anatomía de un instante. En la parte teórica se presta atención al subgénero literario de la novela histórica y en los capítulos siguientes al contexto histórico de la Transición, sus principales figuras y el golpe de Estado de 1981. El último capítulo es la parte esencial de mi tesis, por contener las respuestas a las principales preguntas de investigación: ?Hasta qué punto es la novela de Javier Cercas histórica? ?Cómo representa Javier Cercas a los principales personajes de la Transición? ?Tiene la literatura la fuerza de cambiar nuestra mirada a los sucesos y a los personajes históricos?The purpose of this study is to examine the period of the Spanish Transition to democracy through Javier Cercas' novel, Anatomía de un instante. In the theoretical part, attention is paid to the literary sub-genre of the historical novel and in the following chapters to the historical context of the Transition, its main figures and the coup d'état of 1981. The last chapter is the essential part of my thesis, as it contains the answers to the main research questions: To what extent is Javier Cercas's novel historical? How does Javier Cercas represent the main characters of the Transition? Does literature have the power to change the way we look at historical events and characters?
