Bakalářská práce se věnuje tématu dostavby nových věží kostela Panny Marie a sv. Jeronýma v 60. letech 20. století podle projektu architekta Františka Maria Černého. Práce pojednává nejen o výherním projektu na rekonstrukci původního gotického kostela z doby Karla IV., ale především o okolnostech architektonické soutěže a představení všech soutěžních návrhů. Cílem práce je seznámit čtenáře s osobností téměř zapomenutého architekta Františka Maria Černého, s jeho realizovanými i nerealizovanými stavbami a následně shrnout poznatky o jeho výjimečné dostavbě kostela a všech aspektů, jež se ke konečné podobě, tak, jak ji známe, vázaly.The bachelor thesis deals with the completion of new towers of the Church of Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Jerome in the 1960s based on the design of the architect František Maria Černý. The work describes not only the winning project for the reconstruction of the original gothic church from the time of Charles IV but also depicts the circumstances of the architectural design competition and introduces all competing designs. The thesis aims to acquaint the reader with the personality of the almost forgotten architect František Maria Černý, his realized and unrealized structures, and summarize the information about his exceptional completion of the church and all aspects which influenced it.
