Účelem této bakalářské práce bylo představit a popsat mediální obraz Antonína Novotného na stránkách Rudého práva. Konkrétně pak v době, kdy nastupoval do funkce prezidenta ČSR a následně také, když prezidentskou funkci opouštěl. Část této práce také zahrnuje popis událostí, které předcházeli nástupu Antonína Novotného na pozici prezidenta. K dosažení cílů této bakalářské práce bylo užito historickosrovnávací metody. Ze závěru výzkumu následně vyplynulo, že se Rudé právo věnovalo Antonínu Novotnému více v době, kdy z funkce prezidenta odcházel, než když do ní v roce 1957 vstupoval. Zjištění a skutečnosti vycházející z výzkumné činnosti byla zasazena do dobových skutečností vyplývajících z odborné literatury a historických pramenů.The purpose of this bachelor's thesis was to present and describe the media image of Antonín Novotný on the pages of the Red Law. Specifically, at the time when he took office as President of the Czechoslovak Republic and subsequently also when he left the presidency. Part of this work also includes a description of the events that preceded the accession of Antonín Novotný to the position of President. A historical comparative method was used to achieve the goals of this bachelor thesis. The conclusion of the research subsequently showed that the Red Law was devoted to Antonín Novotný at the time he left the position of president, rather than when he entered it in 1957. Findings and facts based on the research activities were embedded in contemporary facts arising from scientific literature and historical sources.
