Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na problematiku zbraní hromadného ničení, konkrétně na chemické zbraně, na jejich využívání v minulosti a v současnosti a s tím je též spojeno uskutečnění sociologického šetření mezi veřejností. Hlavním cílem práce je zjistit, jaké povědomí má veřejnost o problematice chemických zbraní v návaznosti na možná rizika a bezpečnostní hrozby v České republice. Teoretická část obsahuje teoretický přehled o chemických zbraních, o jednotlivých chemických látkách využívaných i v rámci tzv. chemického terorismu, stejně jako o mezinárodních dohodách a úmluvách zamezujících používání chemických zbraní ve válečných konfliktech. Výzkumná část práce je naplněna výsledky vlastního dotazníkového šetření, které bylo uskutečněno anonymně 228 respondenty. Výsledky prokázaly, že velkým problémem je nedostatečná informovanost obyvatelstva České republiky ve vztahu ke způsobům ochrany před chemickými zbraněmi. Proto bylo v závěru představeno několik návrhů, jak by šlo tyto nedostatky odstranit.The bachelor's thesis focuses on the issue of weapons of mass destruction, specifically on chemical weapons, their use in the past and present, and this is also associated with the implementation of sociological research among the public. The main goal of the thesis is to find out what the public is aware of the issue of chemical weapons in relation to possible risks and security threats in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part contains a theoretical overview of chemical weapons, individual chemical substances used in the so-called chemical terrorism, as well as international agreements and conventions preventing the use of chemical weapons in war conflicts. The research part of the thesis is filled with the results of their own questionnaire survey, which was conducted anonymously by 228 respondents. The results showed that a major problem is the lack of information of the population of the Czech Republic in relation to methods of protection against chemical weapons. Therefore, in the end, several suggestions were presented on how to address these shortcomings.
