Diplomová práce se v teoretické části zabývá specifikací ohroženého dítěte, seznamuje se systémem péče o ohrožené děti v České republice. Hlouběji se zaměřuje na funkci dětského domova. Dále se věnuje transformaci péče o ohrožené děti a seznamuje se stěžejními dokumenty, které celý proces doprovází. V poslední teoretické kapitole popisuje transformační změny ve dvou zemích Evropy. Praktická část diplomové práce si klade za cíl zjistit reakce na dosavadní změny vycházející z procesu transformace dětského domova v Dolní Čermné nejen od vybraných dětí a mladých dospělých, kteří jsou v zařízení umístěni, ale i od vychovatelů, kteří o ně pečují.In the theoretical part the thesis deals with the specification of a vulnerable child and it introduces the system of care for vulnerable children in the Czech Republic. It focuses on the function of a children's home in detail. It also deals with the transformation of care for vulnerable children and presents the key documents required through the whole process. In the last theoretical chapter, the transformational changes in two European countries are described. The practical part of the thesis aims at eliciting reactions to the current changes arising from the transformation process of the children's home in Dolni Cermna not only from individual children and young adults living there, but also from educators who care for them.
