Diplomová práce má za cíl prozkoumat, jak lze současné integrační úsilí interpretovat v kontextu federalistických vizí, především pokud jde o rozbor politik, institucí nebo pravomocí EU. Aktuální události, se kterými se Unie potýká, vyžadují její efektivní fungování. Zejména krize způsobená pandemií Covid-19 přináší nové podněty ke spolupráci nejen v oblasti veřejného zdraví. Záměrem práce je zkoumat reakce EU na krizi covid-19 a zda tato krize přinesla změny přibližující EU federálnímu uspořádání. Práce je pojímána jako případové studie. Došlo k naplnění stanovených cílů a k vyřešení stanovených výzkumných otázek. V práci jsou zkoumány konkrétní reakce EU na pandemickou krizi v kontextu federalistické teorie. Bylo zjištěno, že došlo jak k institucionálnímu vývoji, tak k rozvoji některých dalších politik a oblastí integrace. Veškeré kroky v reakci na pandemii byly učiněny ve stejném právním rámci, ve kterém se ale výrazně prohloubil význam agend souvisejících s aktuální krizí.The aim of the thesis is to explore how current integration efforts can be interpreted in the context of federalist visions, especially in terms of analysing EU policies, institutions or competences. The current events facing the Union require its effective functioning. In particular, the crisis caused by the covid-19 pandemic is providing new impetus for cooperation not only in the field of public health. The intention of this thesis is to examine the EU's response to the covid-19 crisis and whether this crisis has brought about changes that bring the EU closer to a federal structure. The thesis is conceived as a case study. The stated objectives have been met and the stated research questions have been addressed. The thesis examines specific EU responses to the pandemic crisis in the context of federalist theory. It was found that there have been institutional developments as well as some other policy and integration areas. All the steps in response to the pandemic have been taken within the same legal framework, but in which the importance of agendas related to the current crisis has deepened considerably.
