V této diplomové práci jsem se zabývala revizí rodu Malacogaster Bassi, 1834 ze Středomoří. Tento rod patří do tribu Drilini (Coleoptera: Elateridae: Agrypninae) a vyznačuje se pohlavním dimorfismem. Samci tohoto rodu jsou známí svými měkkými těly, samice neotenií a larvy jako predátoři plžů. Zaměřila jsem se na rozšíření, diferenciální diagnózu a klasifikaci tohoto rodu. U všech druhů jsem zdokumentovala nejvýznamnější diagnostické znaky a u většiny druhů studovala dostupný typový materiál. Dále jsem vytvořila určovací klíč pro samce jednotlivých druhů a katalog, který obsahuje informace o typovém materiálu, rozšíření druhů, a také všechna synonyma a neplatná jména, která byla v minulosti u některých taxonů používána. Pomocí dostupných molekulárních dat jsem vytvořila fylogenetický strom pro tento rod. Rod Malacogaster nyní obsahuje 10 druhů. Problémem tohoto rodu je obtížné rozlišení jednotlivých druhů.In this diploma thesis I focused on the revision of genus Malacogaster Bassi, 1834 from the Mediterranean. This genus belongs to tribe Drilini (Coleoptera: Elateridae: Agrypninae) and is characterized by the sexual dimorphism. Males of this genus are known for their soft bodies, females for neoteny and larva as snails predators. My study includes information on the distribution, differential diagnosis and classification of this genus. For each species, I photographed the most important diagnostic characters. For most species, I also studied available type material. Furthermore, I created the identification key for males and the catalogue which provides an information on the type materials, species distribution and all synonyms and misspellings ever used. For this genus, I constructed phylogenetic tree based on the available molecular data. Genus Malacogaster currently includes 10 species. The main problem of this genus is that its species are difficult to distinguish from each other.
