Neglect syndróm je porucha pozornosti, vnímania a orientácie v jednej polovici priestoru, spravidla vľavo. Základom terapie je stimulácia postihnutej strany - čo najviac podnetov by malo byť exponovaných v neglectovanom priestore a stimulácii na "zdravej" strane sa naopak snažíme vyhýbať. Cieľom bakalárskej práce je sumarizácia existujúcich moderných metód v terapii neglect syndrómu a porovnanie ich efektivity s klasickými fyzioterapeutickými konceptmi. Obsah práce zahŕňa etiológiu, klasifikáciu neglect syndrómu, jeho diagnostiku, klinické prejavy a terapiu. Pre tvorbu bakalárskej práce bolo použitých 92 odborných článkov, ktoré boli vyhľadávané na základe anglických ekvivalentov kľúčových slov: neglect, neglect syndróm, terapia, rehabilitácia, fyzioterapia v databázach PubMed, Science Direct, EBSCO, Taylor&Francis Online a Google Scholar. Z výsledku štúdií vyplynulo, že moderné metódy terapie neglect syndrómu v kombinácii s klasickými fyzioterapeutickými postupmi majú potenciál zlepšiť celkový výsledok liečby v zmysle funkčnej mobility a samostatnosti pri aktivitách bežného života.Neglect syndrome is disorder of attention, perception and orientation in one half of the space, usually on the left. The basis of therapy is stimulation of the affected side - as many stimuli as possible should be exposed in a neglected side of space and on the contrary we try to avoid stimulation on the "healthy" side. The aim of the thesis is to sumarize the existing modern methods of neglect syndrome therapy and to compare their effectiveness with classical physiotherapeutic concepts. The content of the thesis includes etiology, classification of neglect syndrome, its diagnostics, clinical manifestations and therapy. 92 specialized articles were used for the creation of the bachelor´s thesis. These were searched on the base of english equivalents of keywords: neglect, neglect syndrome, therapy, rehabilitation, physiotherapy in databases like PubMed, Science Direct, EBSCO, Taylor&Francis Online and Google Scholar. The result of the studies showed that modern methods of neglect syndrome therapy in combination with classical physiotherapeutic concepts have the potential to improve overall outcome of treatment in terms of functional mobility and self-independence in activities of daily living.
