Případová studie je prováděna na příkladu představení inscenace Spalovač mrtvol a performance Ostrov! Ve snaze charakterizovat principy tvorby jsou světelné designy zařazeny na škálu Šesti pilířů reprezentace Yarona Abulafii, které jsou součástí jeho metody analýzy. Světelné designy Pavly Beranové jsou reprezentanty mezi úrovněmi tématu nebo dramatické akce a atmosféry nebo emoce. Otestovaná analýza byla shledána podnětnou pro zkoumání světelného designu v představení, avšak vyvstává otázka, jestli by byla poplatná i pro světelné designy na pátém či šestém stupni škály.This thesis presents Pavla Beranová as an example of a contemporary Czech artist in theatrical lighting design. Using Yaron Abulafia's method of light design analysis presented in The Art of Light on Stage: Lighting in Contemporary Theatre answears the question: How does Pavla Beranová use her lighting designs in a performance? The case study is conducted using such examples as the performance Spalovač mrtvol and the performance Ostrov! In order to recognize the principles of the work, the lighting designs are sorted on the scale of Yaron Abulafia's Six Pillars of Representation which is a essential part of his analytical method. Pavla Beranova's light designs are represented among the levels of theme or dramatic action and atmosphere or emotion. Used analysis suggests for closer exploration of lighting design in a performance but another question arises. Could it be used for lighting designs at the fifth or sixth level of the scale?
