Tato práce se věnuje ruské anexi krymského poloostrova. Práce je koncipována jako interpretativní případová studie, která se na základě teorie ofenzivního realismu zabývá deskripcí vztahů mezi Ukrajinou a Ruskou federací a následného konfliktu, a posléze analýzou příčin ruské intervence. Autor dochází k závěru, že za anexí Krymu stojí soubor příčin zejména geopolitického a ideologického charakteru.This thesis is focusing on the Russian annexation of the Crimean peninsula. The thesis is conceived as an interpretative case study, using the theory of offensive realism to describe the relations between Ukraine and Russian Federation and the subsequent conflict. Afterwards, it analyses the causes of the Russian intervention. The author concludes that the annexation is a consequence of multiple causes, mainly geopolitical and ideological.
