Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na gotickou sakrální architekturu kostela Povýšení sv. Kříže v Karviné - Fryštátě. Zabývá se zčásti i dochovanou pozdně gotickou architektonickou skulpturou. V práci je nastíněna historie města Fryštát ve 13.-16. století, stavební vývoj kostela a také vlivy a komparace kostela v kontextu oblasti severní Moravy, Malopolska a zbylých částí Slezska.The bachelor thesis is focuses on gothic sacral architecture of the Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Karviná-Fryštát. Also it refers to preserved late gothic architectural sculpture. Thesis includes history of the town from the 13th century to the early 16th and also history of the church and the influences and comparations of the church in the context of the area of northern Moravia, Lesser Poland and the rest parts of Silesia.
