Le mémoire de licence se concentre sur la problématique de l'adaptation filmique des bandes dessinées et de la comparaison des deux médiums impliqués en s'appuyant sur le cas de Persepolis de Marjane Satrapi. Dans la partie théorique du travail, il est question des spécificités des médiums filmique, bédéique et littéraire ainsi que de la base de la théorie de l'adaptation en considérant les bandes dessinées. La méthodologie de la comparaison y est également élaborée en s'appuyant sur la conception de Brian McFarlane de Novel to film: an introduction to the theory of adaptation. La partie théorique finit par l'introduction de l'autrice de la bande dessinée et du film en question, et son oeuvre est présentée en considération du contexte historique et culturel. Dans la partie pratique, la méthode de McFarlane est appliquée a l'analyse et a la comparaison de la bande dessinée et du film Persepolis.The bachelor's thesis focuses on the notion of film adaptation of graphic novels and comparison of the two media involved and uses Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi for its case study. The theoretical part of the work deals with the characteristics of film, graphic novel, and literature in general, and the basic principles of the theory of adaptation regarding graphic novels. The methodology of comparison is presented there as the concept of Brian McFarlane elaborated in Novel to film: an introduction to the theory of adaptation. The theoretical part ends with the introduction of the author of the analysed graphic novel and film and her work is presented within the cultural and historical context. The practical part consists of the application of McFarlane's method on the graphic novel and film Persepolis to execute their analysis and comparison.
