Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá obrazem dětství ve vybraných filmech Olma Omerza. Její teoretická část charakterizující koncept dětství vychází z publikace The Disappearance of Childhood sociologa Neila Po stmana. Metodologickým zázemím této práce je pak neoformalistický přístup Kristin Thompsonové. Cílem této bakalářské práce je definovat funkci dětských postav a potvrdit či naopak vyvrátit hypotézu o dominantě filmu, za kterou studentka považuje kontrast mezi dětstvím a dospělostí prostupující narativní i stylistickou rovinou vybraných filmů.This bachelor thesis deals with representation of childhood in the films directed by Olmo Omerzu. The theoretical part of the thesis is basen on Neil Postman's The Disappearance of Childhood. The films are the analyzed using Kristin Thompson's neoformalist approach. The aim of this thesis is to discover whether the contrast between childhood and adulthood present at both the narrative and the stylistic level of the analyzed films may be in fact be considered a dominant feature of the films as had been claimed by the author of the thesis.
