Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na historickou analýzu dvou vybraných zemí, Číny a Kuby, které spojuje existence nedemokratického režimu a porušování lidských práv. Snaží se zejména popsat soudobou situaci i vývoj politického systému v obou zemích od doby vlády dvou významných komunistických vůdců, Fidela Castra na Kubě a Mao Ce-tunga v Číně, až do současnosti. Dále zkoumá stav lidských práv, praktiky jednotlivých zemí a charakter násilností páchaných na civilním obyvatelstvu. Rovněž zmiňuje geografický kontext obou zemí, teorii demokracie i problematiku lidských práv ve všeobecné rovině. V konečném důsledku tato práce nabízí taktéž posouzení situace dvou zmíněných zemí s důrazem na dva odlišné geografické regiony světa a navrhuje určité předpovědi možného budoucího vývoje.This master's thesis is focused on historical analysis of two selected countries, China PR and Cuba, which are linked by the existence of undemocratic regime and human rights violations. It particularly tries to describe the present situation as well as the development of a political system of both countries since the two significant communist leaders, Fidel Castro in Cuba and Mao Zedong in China, have overtaken the reign, until now. Furthermore, it examines the state of human rights, practice of individual countries, and character of violations perpetrated on the civilian population. It also mentions geographical context of both countries, theory of democracy and issues of human rights in a general level. Finally, this thesis also offers the evaluation of overall situation of the two mentioned countries with emphasis on two different geographical regions and proposes certain predictions of possible future development.
