Tato práce je zaměřena na časoprostorovou analýzu fenoménu brain drain (odliv mozků) obyvatel města Olomouce. Tímto termínem je označován fenomén emigrace vysoce kvalifikovaných či zkušených jedinců z dané oblasti kvůli ekonomické či sociální situaci. Teoretická část této práce podrobně popisuje fenomén brain drain a také související témata jako je migrace. Následuje popis a rozbor jednotlivých faktorů ovlivňujících fenomén brain drain a také analýza migračních statistik města Olomouce. V praktické části je vyhodnocen fenomén brain drain pro případ vnitrostátní migrace města Olomouce na úrovni obcí na základě předchozí analýzy. Vedlejším produktem práce je rozbor statistik zahraniční migrace Olomouce a mobility absolventů UPOL.This work is focused on spatio-temporal analysis of the brain drain phenomenon of the Olomouc in the Czech Republic. The brain drain phenomenon is described as the emigration of highly educated or skilled workers from the region due to economic and social situation. The theoretical part of this work describes brain drain phenomenon particularly and related topics such as migration. After this part comes detailed description and analysis of factors affecting brain drain and analysis of migration statistics of Olomouc. The practical part contains the evaluation of the brain drain phenomenon of domestic migration of Olomouc at the commune level based on prior analysis. A side product of this work is the evaluation of foreign migration of Olomouc and mobility of graduates from Palacký University.
