Práce se zabývá funkcí ilustrace v cestopisných dílech Karla Čapka, konkrétněji v Anglických listech, Výletu do Španěl, Obrázcích z Holandska, Cestě na sever a Obrázcích z domova. Cílem práce je podrobný popis intersémiotické povahy Čapkových cestopisů. V analytické části budeme dále zkoumat, co je nejčastějším motivem ilustrací. Nakonec se zaměříme na význam rámu kreseb a prostřednictvím podrobné analýzy se budeme snažit přijít na to, zda v díle plní nějaký účel.This bachelor's thesis focuses on the function of illustration in the travel works of Karel Čapek, specifically in English Letters, A Trip to Spain, Pictures from Holland, The Road to the North, and Pictures from Home. The aim of the work is a detailed description of the intersemiotic nature of the above-mentioned travelogues. We will also examine the most frequent motif of the drawings which appear in the travelogues. The aim of the research will be to ascertain why the author put some of the illustrations into the frame and whether there can be found a connecting element between them.
