Diplomová práce pojednává o životě a svědectví sester sv. Hedviky v Břežanech. První kapitoly jsou věnovány historii Břežan a břežanského zámku, také jeho majitelům od 13. století až po koupi zámku matkou Justinou Michalíkovou z Kongregace sester sv. Hedviky. Cílem práce je nastínit a popsat okolnosti a průběh života sester v Břežanech. Stěžejní část je věnována několika tématům z jejich pestrého života v Břežanech od roku 1926. Nemalá část této práce pojednává o posledních chvílích života třinácti sester. Závěrečná část této práce je věnován několika událostem z období totality, revoluce a stručně také současnosti.The diploma thesis deals with the life and testimony of the Sisters of St. Hedwig in Břežany. First chapters are devoted to the history of Břežany and Břežany chateau, as well as to its owners from the 13th century until the purchase of the chateau by mother Justina Michalikova from the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Hedwig. The aim of this work is to outline and describe the circumstances and the course of life of the sisters in Břežany. The main part is devoted to several topics from their varied life in Břežany since 1926. Another part of this work deals with the last moments of the lives of thirteen sisters. The final part of this work is devoted to several events from the period of totalitarianism, Velvet revolution and briefly the present.
