Bakalářská práce se zabývá analýzou a interpretací hororového románu TO amerického spisovatele Stephena Kinga. Cílem práce je definování žánru hororu a nalezení jeho charakteristických znaků. Dalším cílem je rozbor vnitřní stavby díla, jeho interpretace a nalezení a následný výklad základních motivů. Pozornost byla mimo jiné také věnována rozboru psychologie hlavních hrdinů, funkci času a prostoru.This thesis deals with the analysis and interpretation of the novel IT by American writer Stephen King. The aim of the work is to define horror as a genre and finding its characteristics. Next aim of the thesis is analysis and interpretation of the internal structure of the novel and finding and subsequently explain its basic motives. Attention was also paid to the analysis of the main hero's psychology, the function of time and space.
