Tato diplomová práce má za úkol sledovat tři vybrané protagonisty franšízy Marvel Cinematic Universe, který adaptuje komiksy Marvel do filmové podoby. Selektováni byli Thor, Kapitán Amerika a Peter Quill. Ti společně vystupují minimálně v jednom filmu. Předmětem práce je prozkoumání, jak tito protagonisté naplňují archetypální vzorec chování hrdiny za pomocí dvou poetik: Cesty hrdiny a tematických módů. Cesta hrdiny byla zkoumaná za kombinace přístupu dvou autorů, Josepha Campbella a Christophera Voglera, tematické módy patří mezi jeden ze čtyř esejů od Northopa Frye. V práci bylo pomocí aktualizační a srovnávací analýzy zjištěno, že struktuře hrdinské cesty v různé míře odpovídají nejen samostatné filmy protagonistů a jejich příběh jako celek, ale celý koncept MCU. V druhé rovině analýzy díky aplikaci fikčních módů bylo zjištěno a popsáno, jak vnější vlivy ovlivňovaly Hrdinské cesty protagonistů. Ty se postupně k sobě tematicky přibližovaly, aby spolu postavy mohly interaktovat bez kolize fikčních módů.This diploma thesis has a goal of following the three selected protagonists of the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise, which adapts Marvel comics into films. Thor, Captain America, and Peter Quill were selected. They appear all together at least in one film. The subject of this thesis is to analyze how the chosen protagonists fulfill the hero´s archetypal behavioral formula with two poetics: the hero´s journey and fictional modes. Hero´s journey was combined with two author´s approaches: Joseph Campbell and Christopher Vogler, while fictional mods are one of the four essays of Northrop Frye. Using comparative and contemporizing analysis was found out, that not only individual films and whole stories of protagonists fulfill the structure of the hero´s journey, but also the whole concept of MCU. In the second level of analysis was determined and described how external influences influenced hero´s journeys of selected protagonists thanks to the application of fictional modes. With each film, the journeys of the protagonists are gradually similar in fictional modes.
