Teoretická část práce se zaměřuje na vymezení a popsání základní problematiky hodnot a úzkostnosti. Část je věnována i předchozím výzkumům na podobné téma. Primární výzkumnou otázkou práce je zjistit, jestli existuje souvislost mezi mírou úzkostnosti a tím, jaké studenti zastávají hodnoty. Dále byly srovnávány korelace hodnot a úzkostnosti dvou skupin, kterými byli studenti přírodovědných oborů a studenti společenskovědních oborů. Kromě toho byly také porovnávány hodnoty a úzkostnost těchto svou skupin. Respondenty bylo 65 studentů vysokých škol, kteří studují přírodovědné nebo společenskovědní obory. Byli získání na základě příležitostného výběru. K získání dat sloužily dotazníky PVQ a STAI. Na jejich základě byly kvantitativně ověřovány hypotézy. K souvislosti mezi úzkostností a hodnotami byla využita Spearmanova korelace, která potvrdila souvislost mezi úzkostností a některými z hodnot. Dále bylo pomocí Wilcoxonova testu, Mann-Whitneyova U testu a t-testu pro dva nezávislé výběry zjištěno, že neexistuje výrazný rozdíl mezi dvěma skupinami, ať už se jedná o jejich hodnoty, úzkostnost nebo korelace mezi těmito proměnnými.The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to defining and describing primary matters of values and trait anxiety. Part of this section is dedicated to previous researches regarding similar topic. The chief research question is to determine, whether there exist any relation between the trait anxiety and the type of values of students. Futhermore, the correlations of values and trait anxiety of two groups; students of natural science and students of human science, were matched and compared. The respondents were 65 university students from the field of natural and human science. The respondents were selected occasionaly. The questionnaires PVQ and STAI were used for information gathering. The data collected from those questionnaires was used for quantitative method of hypothesis testing. The link between trait anxiety and values was tested by Spearman's correlation, which confirmed the connection between trait anxiety and some of the values. Additionally, the Wilcoxon's test, Mann-Whitney U test and t-test for two unrelated selections, revealed that there is no major difference between two groups, be it their values, trait anxiety or the correlation between these variables.
