Hlavním cílem diplomové práce je zjistit, zda má Itálie potenciál jako destinace sportovního cestovního ruchu českých vysokoškolských studentů. Dále případně odhalit, jaké jsou nejčastější sportovní aktivity, které zde provozují a analyzovat nabídku českých cestovních kanceláří se zaměřením na sportovní zájezdy. Teoretická část práce je zaměřena na rozbor pojmů cestovní ruch, sportovní cestovní ruch a destinace cestovního ruchu a na předpoklady rozvoje cestovního ruchu v Itálii - lokalizační, realizační a selektivní. Dále je zde vymezena Itálie jako destinace cestovního ruchu se zaměřením na sportovní cestovní ruch a analyzována nabídka českých cestovních kanceláří působících v zemi. Na konci teoretické části se nachází charakteristika vybrané demografické skupiny.V praktické části jsou pomocí ankety zjišťovány preference, postoje a sportovní zkušenosti vybrané skupiny v Itálii. Výzkum ukazuje, že Itálie je mezi českými vysokoškolskými studenty oblíbenou turistickou destinací a mnozí jezdí do země za účelem sportovních aktivit.The main aim of this diploma thesis is to find out whether Italy has apotential as a sport tourism destination of Czech university students. Secondarily to determine the most common sport activities practiced by young Czech tourists and analyze the offer of Czech travel agencies focusing on sport tours. Theoretical part is focused on the analysis of the concepts of tourism, sport tourism and destination and on the localization, realization and selective prerequisites for the development of tourism in Italy. Italy is further defined as a tourist destination with a focus on sport tourism. In the end of the theoretical part there is an analysis of Czech travel agencies providing their services in the country and also there is a characteristic of a chosen demographic group. The practical part is where preferences, attitude and sport experiences of the target group in Italy is found by given questionnaire. The research has shown us that Italy is a popular tourist destination among Czech university students and a lot of them visit the country with a purpose of sport activities.
