Diplomová práca zachytáva percepciu priestoru prostredníctvom mentálneho mapovania mesta Šternberk pre účely jeho rozvoja. Základ tvorí teoretické vymedzenie tohto konceptu, na ktoré nadväzujú praktické príklady, poukazujúce na možnosti rozvoja územia vďaka aplikácii mentálneho mapovania v Českej republike i v zahraničí. Analýza dát z realizovaného terénneho šetrenia umožnila následné praktické vymedzenie vybraných typov povrchu. Obsahujú základnú dichotómiu na topofílie, topofóbie, ale tiež ďalšie novo definované typy. Súčasťou práce sú zároveň sémantické mapy Šternberka.The diploma thesis captures perception of space through the mental mapping of Šternberk town for the purpose of its development. The basis consists of a theoretical definition of this concept, which is followed by practical examples representing the possibilities of development of the territory through the application of mental mapping in the Czech Republic and abroad. The data analysis, which comes from the field survey allow defining specific types of surface. It contains a basic dichotomy to topophilia, topophobia, but also other types defined for first time. The work includes also the semantic maps of Šternberk.
