Tato diplomová práce se zaměřuje na soudní řízení s francouzským králem Ludvíkem XVI. a jeho manželkou Marií Antoinettou, která probíhala v 1. pol. 90. let 18. století. Charakterizuje oba procesy - od shromažďování důkazů, přes obžalobu a výslech až k vydání rozhodnutí a jeho výkonu. První kapitola popisuje situaci ve Francii před procesy. Druhá kapitola podává informace o soudnictví té doby, jeho organizaci, reformě, důležitých předpisech a seznamuje s orgány, které rozhodly o osudu královského páru. Ve třetí a čtvrté kapitole se zabývá procesem s Ludvíkem XVI. a Marií Antoinettou. Poslední kapitola potom obsahuje charakteristiku procesů, soubor autorčiných názorů na oba procesy a komparaci procesů s Ludvíkem XVI. a Karlem I. Staurtem.This diploma degree thesis is focused on the trial with the French king Louis XVI and his wife Marie Antoinette which took place in the first half of the 90s of the 18th century. This thesis characterizes both trials from the process of collecting all the evidence, through the impeachment and the interrogation to the final decision and its enforcement. The first chapter describes the situation in France before the trials. The second chapter defines the justice of that time, its organization, reformation and important regulations and it presents the authorities which decided about the fate of the royal couple. The third and fourth chapter deals with the process with Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette. The last chapter then presents the trial characteristics, author's opinions on the trials and the comparison of the trial with Charles I of England.
