Tématem této diplomové práce je "Přistoupení do Evropských společenství: komparace Portugalské republiky a Španělského království". V teoretické části je práce zaměřena na vliv externích aktérů na demokratizaci včetně podmínečnosti členství, teoretických konceptů a přístupů na šíření demokracie. V dalších částech už jsou popsány zmíněné státy. Jako první historické události, které vedly ke vzniku nedemokratického režimu, jeho konec a první období do podání přihlášky do ES včetně voleb, stranického systému, ústavy, vlády a vnějších vztahů. Následuje přístupový proces do ES, který je rozdělen na 70. a 80. léta, doplněn o vnitrostátní postoj k přistoupení. Vše je zakončeno závěry jednání mezi danou zemí a ES. Výsledkem je zhodnocení, co vše muselo Portugalsko a Španělsko změnit a jaký byl vliv ES na jejich demokratizační proces.The topic of these diploma thesis is "Accession to the European Community: a comparison of the Portuguese Republic and the Kingdom of Spain". In the theoretical part, the thesis focuses on the influence of external actors on democratization, including EU Conditionality, theoretical concepts and approaches to the spread of democracy. In the other parts, the aforementioned states are already described. As the first historical events that led to the emergence of a non-democratic regime, its end and the first period of democracy, including elections, party system, constitution, government and external relations. The subsequent accession process to the EC, which is divided into the 1970s and 1980s, was complemented by a national accession stance. Everything ends with the conclusions of the negotiations between the country and the European Community. The result is an appreciation of what all Portugal and Spain have had to change, and the impact of the European Community on their democratization process.
