Tato práce pojednává o teritoriálních nárocích na ostrovní skupiny v oblasti Jihočínského moře,které zde mají Brunej, Čína, Filipíny, Malajsie, Tchaj-wan a Vietnam. Dále je práce zaměřena na sledování konfliktů mezi státy nárokujícími si části ostrovních útvarů v Jihočínském moři. Součástí této práce je charakteristika jednotlivých ostrovních útvarů v Jihočínském moři, popis strategického významu celé oblasti a její zapojení do globálních obchodních vztahů. Je zde rozebrána historie jednotlivých nároků a přehled, jak postupně docházelo k okupaci jednotlivých útvarů. Rovněž tato práce sleduje vliv teritoriálních sporů na vztahy mezi aktéry a případné zapojení třetích stran do konfliktů.This diploma thesis deals with the territorial claims of island groups in the South China Sea, which have Brunei, China, Philippines, Malaysia, Taiwan and Vietnam. In addition, the work is aimed at monitoring conflicts between states claiming parts of the South China Sea. Part of this work is the characterization of individual island formations in the South China Sea, a description of the strategic importance of the whole area and its involvement in global trade relations. It analyzes the history of the individual claims and the overview of the gradual occupation of individual departments. This paper also monitors the impact of territorial disputes on the relationships between actors and the possible involvement of third parties in conflicts.
