Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá aktuálním demografickým problémem Evropy, kterým je fenomén "shrinking city". V první části jsou na základě rešerše domácí i zahraniční odborné literatury představeny definice, důvody vzniku fenoménu, typologie tzv "shrinking cities" a zahrnut je i časoprostorový vývoj fenoménu. Následuje popis transformačního období v rámci členských států Visegrádské skupiny a charakteristika těchto států ve spojitosti s fenoménem. Druhá část této práce obsahuje čtyři jednotlivé rešerše akademických i státních publikací na téma "shrinking cities" a jejich následné srovnání. Na konci práce se nachází tabulka s počtem vydaných domácích a zahraničních publikací na téma "shrinking city" v rámci Visegrádské skupinyThis paper deals with actual demographic problem of Europe phenomenon shrinking city. In the first part of this paper, definition, origin of the phenomenon, typology of the shrinking cities and historical context are discussed. It is followed by description of post-socialistic economic transformation in the countries of Visegrád group and its connection to the phenomenon. Second part of this paper consists of four separate researches of literature, concerning shrinking cities, followed by their comparison. The paper is finished with a table of all the publications discussing the phenomenon shrinking city within the Visegrád group.
