Diplomová práce zkoumá souvislost náboženské orientace, náboženského fundamentalismu a dalších charakteristik (pohlaví, vzdělání, církevní příslušnost) mladých křesťanů s náboženskou tolerancí v podobě sociální distance. Teoretická část práce vymezuje základní pojmy, vysvětluje koncept náboženské orientace v Allportově a Batsonově pojetí, dále se věnuje náboženskému fundamentalismu a náboženské toleranci s důrazem na sociální distanci podle Bogarda. Na závěr jsou popsány předchozí výzkumy na toto téma. V empirické části je popsána kvantitativní analytická studie provedená na nepravděpodobnostními metodami získaném souboru mladých dospělých ve věku 18 35 let složeného ze 167 křesťanů. Za použití Škály náboženské orientace, Škály hledání, Škály náboženského fundamentalismu a pěti Škál sociální distance vůči ateistům, židům, muslimům hinduistům a buddhistům bylo zjištěno, že u mladých křesťanů existuje statisticky významná pozitivní souvislost mezi náboženským fundamentalismem a sociální distancí vůči lidem jiného vyznání. Taktéž pohlaví a církevní příslušnost mají dle výsledků statistických testů na tuto sociální distanci významný vliv.The thesis focuses on young Christians and explores the relationship between religious orientation, religious fundamentalism and other characteristics (sex, education, church affiliation) on the one hand and religious tolerance as social distance on the other. The theoretical part defines the relevant terms and explains the concepts of religious orientation as described by Allport and Batson, religious fundamentalism and religious tolerance with emphasis on social distance according to Bogardus. At the end of the theoretical part, the thesis describes previous studies of this topic. The empirical part presents a quantitative analytic study conducted on a sample of young adults containing 167 Christians between the ages of 18 to 35 years. This sample was obtained using nonprobability methods. Using the Religious Orientation Scale, Quest Scale, Religious Fundamentalism Scale and five Social Distance Scales related to Atheists, Jews, Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists it was found that in young Christians there is a statistically significant positive relationship between religious fundamentalism and social distance related to people of different religions. According to statistical tests, sex and church affiliation have a significant influence on this social distance as well.
