Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na změny komunikačního schématu osob seniorského věku s demencí. V úvodu své teoretické části se zabývá osobami seniorského věku, stárnutím populace, vymezením stárnutí a stáří a popisu involučních změn. V další kapitole je definován a klasifikován syndrom demence. Prostor je věnován také etiologii, stejně tak popisu projevů a stanovení stádií této nemoci. Poslední kapitola teoretické části je zaměřena na komunikaci osob s demencí. Nejprve je definována lidská komunikace a její verbální a neverbální forma. Poté se práce zabývá narušenou komunikační schopností obecně a posléze také narušenou komunikační schopností u osob s demencí. Součástí je taktéž popis nejběžnějších projevů způsobených tímto narušením. Kapitolu uzavírají zásady komunikace s osobou s demencí. Praktickou část tvoří kvalitativně zaměřený výzkum, jehož cílem bylo zjistit, jaké dopady přináší narušená komunikační schopnost osoby seniorského věku s demencí na okolí tohoto jedince, zejména na práci ošetřovatelů a vztahy s rodinnými příslušníky. Výzkum byl proveden prostřednictvím případové studie o klientce obecně prospěšné společnosti Domovinka Němčičky. Součástí této případové studie je taktéž rozhovor s hlavní ošetřovatelkou zkoumané klientky.The bachelor thesis focuses on changes in the communication scheme of senior people with dementia. At the beginning of its theoretical part, it deals with persons of senior age, the aging of the population, the definition of aging and age and the description of involution changes. The next chapter defines and classifies the dementia syndrome. It also contains the etiology as well as the description of the manifestations and the determination of dementia stages. The last chapter of the theoretical part focuses on the communication of people with dementia. Firstly, there is defined human communication and its verbal and non-verbal form. Then the thesis deals with impaired communication ability in general and then with impaired communication of people with dementia. It also includes a description of the most common manifestations of this disruption. The chapter is closed by the principles of communication with a person with dementia. The practical part consists of qualitatively focused research. This part tries to find out the impacts of the communication disability of senior people with dementia on their surroundings. It focuses primarily on nursing work and family relationships. The research consists of a case study of a person with dementia and an interview with her nurse.
