Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá překladem novozákonního textu do češtiny a do angličtiny. Nejprve shrnuje vývoj překladatelské metody v obou jazycích a porovnává shody a odlišnosti v jednotlivých tradicích. Zadruhé rozebírá některé aspekty biblického překladu, kterými se liší od ostatní překladové literatury. Zatřetí představuje problematiku českého biblického stylu a způsob, jakým jeho historický vývoj ovlivňuje dnešní podobu textu. V závěru práce je pozornost věnována funkci částic v cílovém textu. Především se zřetelem na to, jak jejich využití ovlivňuje výsledný styl a podobu textu.This present study deals with the translation of the New Testament into the Czech and the English language. First it summarizes the development of the translation method throughout history and compares how the Czech and English tradition resemble or differ from each other. Second it describes how the translation of the Bible is different from translation of other literary works. It goes on to outline the development and current state of the New Testament translation versions to the Czech language. It describes the translation method and the style of the target text. Finally if focuses on the use of particles in the target text and outlines how the use of particles affects the style of the target text.
