Due to the duration of the Franco Regime in Spain, from the end of the Civil War to 1975, it is important to know its implications and impact on the citizens' identity. Hence, the goal of my thesis is to know the impact of the posters made by the official Francoist propagandistic apparatus on the Spaniards' identity, through an aesthetic and iconographical analysis. Thus, how the citizens are depicted and how there are established boundaries between 'good' Spaniards and non-citizens. To know the 'we' depicted on the posters. I will achieve my goal by analysing the main gaze reproduced and produced. The posters are cultural productions, their context of production and reproduction are linked, thus, they cannot be considered individually. Therefore, first of all, I will develop a historical contextualization of the Regime and a theoretical framework to develop a definition of propaganda. The second step will be to develop the visual analysis of the posters, from the aesthetics and iconographical approach. As I will analyse, the depiction of the citizens is linked to the own ideology and cultural system that the Regime established since its appearance, the very same day of the uprising.Due to the duration of the Franco Regime in Spain, from the end of the Civil War to 1975, it is important to know its implications and impact on the citizens' identity.
