V tejto práci sa zaoberám rozborom idealizácie japonskej bojovej triedy samurajov a jej ideológie v rámci japonského nacionalizmu. Cieľom práce je opísať zneužívanie histórie vládnymi autoritami na presadenie vlastnej moci nad domácim obyvateľstvom a v zahraničí. Za týmto účelom rozoberám funkciu, zvyky a postavenie samurajov v japonských dejinách, pričom historické udalosti následne dopĺňam ukážkou dobových názorov na podstatu ich služby voči spoločnosti. Následne tieto poznatky porovnávam s vládnou propagandou v období militarizmu a opisujem spôsoby, akými boli samuraji a ich idey zjednodušené, a využité na presadzovanie vládnych fašistických ambícií. Taktiež sa venujem téme obnoveného historického revizionizmu v oblasti povojnového nacionalizmu a existujúce obavy z návratu k militaristickým tendenciám.The theme of this thesis is the study of the idealisation of the samurai military class and their ideology in the context of Japanese nationalism. The aim of the thesis is to describe the misuse of history by the government authorities with the goal of forcing its power over the local population and abroad. For this purpose, the function, habits and place of the samurai in the Japanese history is studied. The historical events are supplemented by the samples of the period opinions on the nature of the samurai service to the society. These facts are then compared to the government military era propaganda and ways in which the samurai and their ideology were simplified and misused for enforcing the fascist ambitions of the government are described. The themes of the revived historical revisionism in the field of the post-war nationalism and the existing fears of the return of the militaristic tendencies are also part of this thesis.
