Tato práce se věnuje katalánskému architektovi Ricardu Bofillovi a jeho projektům pro Prahu. Za jeden z hlavních cílů si klade představit komplexně tohoto architekta a jeho tvorbu, kterou dosud zpracovala odborná literatura pouze v užších souvislostech nebo pouze se zaměřením na jeden objekt. V rámci tohoto tématu se jeví jako opodstatněné i naznačení současné pozice architekta ve vedení a v konečné realizaci projektu, jak ze strany architektonického ateliéru, tak i s ohledem na další činitele ovlivňující průběh výstavby od návrhu po konečnou podobu a provedení stavby. Obdobně se práce zabývá i vlivem zahraničních architektů v pražském prostředí. Co tito architekti městu nabídli, co mu přinesli a jak se mění pohled na ně, a to zejména s časovým odstupem od změny politického režimu v roce 1989. Závěr práce uvádí argumenty k podpoření hypotézy, že Bofill v pražském prostředí působí jako průkopník architektonických konverzí bývalých industriálních a historických budov. Zároveň přináší hypotézy vysvětlující důvod změny postavení architekta a jeho upozadění za jméno developera či investora. Argumenty pro tuto hypotézu představuje práce v kontextu vývoje architektury a v kontextu prostředí, v němž architektura vzniká. V Praze půjde o období od roku 1989, kdy zde stále častěji působí zahraniční architekti, i jiní než Ricardo Bofill. Neméně pak práce naráží na problém anonymnosti a autorství v dnešní architektuře.This thesis is dedicated to the Catalan architect Ricardo Bofill and his projects for Prague. One of the main goals aims to introduce in a comprehensive manner this architect and his work which scholarly literature has only composed in a narrow context or with a focus on one particular object. Within this topic it appears to be reasonable to indicate the current position of an architect in management and in the final realization of a project from the side of the architectural studio, as well as with consideration of other factors influencing the progress and construction from the first draft to the final form and design of the structure. Similarly the thesis is concerned with the influence of foreign architects in the Prague context. What did these architects offer to the city, what did they bring, and how the view of them has changed, especially considering the time that has passed since the change of the political regime in 1989. The conclusion of this work states arguments to support a hypothesis that Bofill, in the Prague environment, acts as a pioneer of architectural conversions of former industrial and historic structures. At the same time it brings hypotheses explaining the reason for the change of position of an architect and on the contrary the rise of control of the developer and investor within new realization. The work presents arguments for this hypothesis in the context of architectural development and in the context of the environment in which the architecture originates. In Prague it will be the period after the year 1989, when foreign architects, others than Bofill, are operating here more and more. No less, the work touches the problem of anonymity and authorship in today's architecture.
