Cílem této práce je poskytnout ucelený přehled informací o problematice refluxní choroby jícnu a přiblížit možnosti fyzioterapie v léčbě pacientů s tímto onemocněním. Podává informace o tom, jaký dopad můžou mít faktory, jakými jsou vadné držení těla a nedostatečná funkce bránice na refluxní chorobu a jak ji můžeme prostřednictvím jejich rehabilitace ovlivnit a zmírnit její příznaky. Vedle jícnových projevů, mezi které patří pálení žáhy a regurgitace, se práce zaměřuje na mimojícnové projevy choroby jícnu vyvolané gastroezofageálním refluxem, a to zejména v oblasti dýchacích cest. Těmi mohou být například chronické rinosinusitidy a bronchitidy. Zabývá se rolí dolního jícnového svěrače v patologii gastroezofageálního refluxu. Práce přináší přehled onemocnění, která mohou být s refluxní chorobu sdružená, a informuje o možnostech celkové terapie této nemoci s důrazem na možnosti fyzioterapie. Snaží se zdůraznit důležitost komplexního přístupu při léčbě gastroezofageálního refluxu.The goal of this thesis is to provide a complex overview of knowledge about the Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and to elucidate the possibilities of physical therapy in the treatment of patients with this disease. The thesis provides information about what impact factors such as bad body posture or diaphragm dysfunction may have on GERD and how a physical therapy of these can influence and alleviate the symptoms of GERD. Next to esophageal symptoms such as heartburn and regurgitation, the thesis also discusses the extraesophageal signs of GERD, especially in the lower respiratory tract. These include for example rhinosinusitis or bronchitis. It further deals with the role of the lower esophageal sphincter in the pathology of the gastroesophageal reflux. The thesis provides an overview of the diseases associated with GERD and informs about the possibilities of the overall treatment of this disease with emphasis on the possibilities of the physical therapy. It aims to stress the importance of a complex approach to the treatment of gastroesophageal reflux.
