Bakalářská práce Textologická komparace tří vydání Podivného přátelství herce Jesenia Ivana Olbrachta se zabývá textovými změnami mezi třemi vydáními románu Ivana Olbrachta, autora, o kterém je známo, že svá díla z mládí upravoval. Práce si dává za úkol na základě porovnání těchto vydání zaznamenat, charakterizovat a analyzovat textové změny a posoudit, jak ovlivnily toto dílo. Olbrachtova účast v debatě týkající se upravování starších děl pomůže odhalit důvody, proč se ke svým starším pracím vracel a podroboval je změnám. Jádrem práce je třetí kapitola, která prezentuje nalezené textové změny, rozdělené do kategorií. Na základě jejich analýzy a konfrontací této analýzy s vyjádřením Olbrachta ke změnám pak dochází ke shrnutí poznatků.The bachelor theses Textological comparison of three editions of Ivan Olbracht's novel "The Strange Friendship of Jesenius the Actor" is focused on the textological comparison of three editions of Ivan Olbracht's second novel and characterization of textual differences. The first chapter is focused on the novel itself. It describes the story of Jesenius, the actor who performs at the National theatre and who meets an amateur actor Jan Veselý, who very soon becomes his closest friend. The friendship is special, because the two have very different personalities. Whilst Jiří Jesenius is a kind, hardworking and responsible person, Veselý is a passionate man, who wants to enjoy life and who became a famous actor without much effort. At the end of the story, Veselý dies in the battlefield and Jesenius at the moment of his friend's death receives something from his passionate personality. Two friends this way become one person. Then the first chapter focuses on the interpretation of the novel and the descriptions of the characters of Jiří Jesenius and Jan Veselý as well as a period reflexion. The second chapter of the theses is focused on the statements made by Ivan Olbracht on the topic of modifying older literary works. He expresses his opinion that older literary works should be modified to be more accessible to the readers. This way, he says, will these works of art remain in the awareness of readers despite the time gap between the readers and the literary works. The last chapter is the core of the bachelor theses; it presents analysis of the textual differences between the editions, divided into categories. The analysis shows that Olbracht was modifying the orthography according to the grammar codification; he also shortened the descriptive passages and modified the way the characters were presented.
