Problematika věkové diskriminace je v dnešní stárnoucí společnosti stále více aktuální. Bakalářská práce je orientována na ageismus ve zdravotnictví, a to konkrétně očima seniorů. Teoretická část předkládá základní informace o stárnutí a změnách, které stárnutí přináší. Dále se zabývá samotným ageismem a jeho výskytem v poskytování zdravotní péče. Empirická část se zaměřuje na osobní zkušenosti seniorů s ageistickými postoji ze strany zdravotnických pracovníků různých zdravotnických zařízení, která je zjišťována pomocí konkrétních ageistických situací nastíněných v dotazníkovém šetření. Výzkum prokázal, že dle mých respondentů se senioři s ageistickými postoji ze strany zdravotních pracovníků opravdu setkávají, ne však ve velké míře.The issue of age discrimination in today´s society of population aging is more current. Bachelor thesis is concentrate on ageism in health care, concretely from the sight of seniors. Theoretical part presents some basic informations about aging and so the changes, which aging brings. It also deals with the actual ageism and its occurrence in the provision of health care. Empirical part is focused on personal experiences of seniors with ageist attitudes of health workers in different medical institutions, which is researched thought specific ageist situations adumbrated in questionnaire survey. The research showed up that according to my respondents seniors are really experienced with ageist attitudes by the medical staff, but not to a great extent.
