Tématem bakalářské práce je analýza vybraných filmů s tématem žurnalistiky, mediálních institucí a novinářské práce. Konkrétně se práce zaměří na americkou kinematografii 21. století. K analýze byly vybrány filmy, které se v pojetí tématu navzájem odlišují. Jde o filmy Dana Gilroye Slídil (Nightcrawler, 2014) a Toma McCarthyho Spotlight (Spotlight, 2015). Cílem práce je aplikovat na hrdiny/novináře a jejich činnost teorie zpravodajských norem a novinářské etiky a rozebrat, nakolik daný materiál vyhovuje těmto standardům. Práce na základě metodologického spojení praktické žurnalistické příručky, konkrétního etického kodexu a naratologické teorie Seymoura Chatmana sleduje participaci tématu etických norem na vyprávění filmů. Závěrečná komparace vymezuje základní rozdíly mezi analyzovanými filmy.The topic of this bachelor thesis is the analysis of films about journalism, media institutions and journalistic work. Specifically, the thesis is focused on American cinematography of the 21st century. Films for analysis were chosen on the basis of their distinction in approach to the topic. The films are Dan Gilroy's Nightcrawler (2014) and Tom McCarthy's Spotlight (2015). The chief aim of the thesis is to apply theories of news standards and journalistic ethics on the heroes/journalists and to evaluate how the material in films fulfills these standards. Thesis, on the basis of metodological connection of journalistic book of practice, specific journalistic code and narration theory of Seymour Chatman, follows the participation of the topic of journalistic standards on the narratives of the films. Final comparison defines fundamental distinctions between analyzed films.
