V této práci se zabývám latinskými deminutivy a jejich historickým vývojem do italského jazyka. Popisuji vývoj jednotlivých deminutivních sufixů jak s ohledem na fonetické a morfologické změny, tak na měnící se preferenci volby jednotlivých sufixů. Dále se zabývám různými funkcemi a významy deminutivního tvaru. Tyto skutečnosti demonstruji na jednotlivých deminutivních tvarech, ke kterým dokládám citace z dochovaných pramenů.This thesis deals with the Latin diminutive forms and their historical development to the Italian language. I describe the Latin diminutive suffixes and their phonetic and morphological evolution to the Italian, including the changes in the popularity of the suffixes. Then I deal with the various functions of a diminutive form. I illustrate this with examples of Latin and Italian diminutives, substantiated by quotations of Latin and Italian original texts.
