Diplomová práce hledá pohled, kterým na problematiku spojenou s milosrdenstvím nahlíží ve svém díle Klement Alexandrijský. Představuje a rozebírá aspekty Božího a lidského milosrdenství vztahující se k odpuštění a soucitu. Zjišťuje, že milosrdenství je pro Klementa úzce svázáno s připodobněním Bohu, je završením cesty, na které se věřící člověk snaží dosáhnout dokonalosti. Představuje také Klementa Alexandrijského, jeho život a dobu, základní východiska myšlení i celé jeho dílo. V úvodní obecné kapitole však nejdříve ukazuje vývoj a současný pohled na důležité souvislosti spojené s pojmem milosrdenství, se kterými pak Klementovy názory porovnává. Zároveň v práci nalezneme množství odpovědí na aktuální otázky, jakož i rady a doporučení pro vyjádření milosrdenství v našem životě.This diploma thesis is looking for a view by which Clement of Alexandria assesses the issue associated with mercy in his writings. It introduces and discusses the aspects of God's and human mercy related with forgiveness and compassion. It was deduced that for Clement the mercy is closely associated with following of God, it is completion of the journey where the worshipper tries to achieve perfection. This thesis also acquaints us with Clement of Alexandria, his life and era, basic possibilities of his thinking and all his writings. The opening and general chapter is focused on the progress and contemporary view on the important contexts related with the term of mercy with which this thesis compares Clement's opinion. Throughout the text we can find many answers to the current issues related to mercy likewise advices and recommendations on its expression in our life.
