Bakalářská práce pojednává o Mariinském divadle v Petrohradě. Je rozdělena na dvě části. V první části se zabývá obecným výkladem světových dějin divadelního umění a charakteristikou základních divadelních druhů a žánrů. Další část je věnovaná již samotnému Mariinskému divadlu. Pojednává o jeho historii, architektuře a současné činnosti. Tato část rovněž zahrnuje představení významných osobností, které zde působí a vztahy mezi Mariinským divadlem a Českou republikou. Na konci této práce se nachází příloha, jež obsahuje glosář zaměřený na divadelní terminologii a překlad vybraných her.This bachelor thesis deals with Mariinsky Theatre in Saint Petersburg. It is divided into two parts. The first part is about history of the world's theatre and describes the main theatre's forms and genres. The second part includes information about Mariinsky Theatre. It deals with its history, architecture and current activities. There are also introduced significant personalities of Mariinsky Theatre. This part of thesis also includes relations of Mariinsky Theatre and the Czech Republic. There is a supplement in the end of this work. The supplement includes short dictionary oriented on the theatre's terminology and translates selected performances.
