Práce se zabývá interpretací dialogu Symposion. Největší důraz je kladen na Aristofanovu řeč a snaží se odpovědět na otázku: Proč je tato řeč nejdůležitější? První kapitola je věnovaná struktuře a chronologii Platónských dialogů, terminologií vybraných řeckých slov a problematikou homosexuality a pederastie v antickém Řecku. Druhá kapitola se zabývá historickou konotací v antických Athénách, strukturou a interpretací dialogu Symposion a jsou také představeny názory a interpretace soudobých filosofů Aristofanovy řeči.This work is focusing on interpretation of Symposium dialog. Main emphasis is put at Aristhopahne speech. The work is trying to answer the question: "Why the Aristhophane speech is the most important one? First chapter is dedicated to the structure and chronology of Plato's dialogues, selected terminology of ancient Greek words and topics in the areas of homosexuality and pederasty. Second chapter is dedicated to historical connotations in ancient Athens, structure and interpretation of dialog Symposium and it is also introducing the opinion and interpretation of the Aristophanes speech by the contemporary philosophers.
