Tato bakalářská práce sleduje operaci Lité olovo z let 2008 a 2009 a zabývá se otázkou, zda její vyhlášení a průběh splňuje kritéria spravedlivé války jus ad bellum a jus in bello. Rovněž se zabývá vývojem, který předcházel nejen této operaci, ale i modernímu pojetí spravedlivé války. Vztahy mezi Izraelem a Palestinou, potažmo Hamásem jsou složité a stále mezi nimi vládne napětí. Budeme moci sledovat, jaké činy a politické kroky zformovaly válku v Gaze 2008 a 2009 a čí agresivní jednání nedalo v tomto konfliktu prostor pro mírové řešení. Oficiálně Izrael spustil operaci Lité olovo jako odpověď na stále se zvyšující počty raket odpalovaných na Izrael z pásma Gazy. Základní otázky zní: Jak tento důvod obstojí po zasazení do kritérií spravedlivé války? Je tato operace morálně ospravedlnitelná?The presented bachelor thesis observes the 2008 and 2009 operation by the name of Cast Lead aiming to find answers to questions whether the declaration and course of the operation corresponds to the just war criteria jus ad bellum and jus in bello. The thesis also deals with the development forthcoming both the operation and the modern just war concept. The relationship of Israel and Palestine or Hamas have been complex and tense. The thesis will be tracing back actions and political decisions leading to the war of Gaza in 2008 and 2009. The focus is to be on revealing whose aggressive action prevented the conflict from being resolved in a peaceful way. Israel officially started the Cast Lead operation in answer to the increasing number of missiles launched to Israel from Gaza. The crucial questions are the following: Is the reason compatible with the requirements of the just war criteria? Is the Cast Lead operation morally justifiable?
