Niniejsza praca magisterska koncentruje się problematyce ziemiaństwa polskiego. Celem tejże pracy jest przedstawienie ziemiańskiego stylu życia w oparciu o literaturę pamiętnikarską. Wykorzystane zostały pamiętniki z drugiej połowy XIX wieku i pierwszej połowy XX wieku napisane przez samotnych ziemian. Praca magisterska składa się z trzech części. W pierwszej części pracy podano zarys historyczny ziemiaństwa polskiego. W historii szlachty ziemskiej wyszczególniono wiek XIX i XX, bowiem w tych czasach ziemiaństwo najwięcej się rozwijało i jednocześnie całkowicie upadło. W następnej części autorka skupiła uwagę na elementach, najbardziej charakterystycznych dla kultury ziemiańskiej. Zostały opisane takie zagadnienia jak ziemiański dwór, rodzina, religia ziemian, sposób wychowania dzieci czy polowania. Rozdział trzeci, a zarówno ostatni przybliża obchodzenie świąt i uroczystości w ziemiańskich środowisku.This diploma thesis deals with the question of Polish landed gentry. Its aim is to present their lifestyle on the basis of memoirs literature. The author used memoirs of the second half of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century written by the landed gentry themselves. The diploma thesis consists of three parts. The aim of the first part is to describe the history of Polish landed gentry. In historical development of this social class the author focused on the 19th and 20th century because in this period the Polish landed gentry were undergoing the most dramatic changes and at the same time they were wiped out. In the next part the author analyzed the most pertinent and typical features of landed gentry culture, which include among other things landed gentry residence, family, religion, the way of upbringing children or hunting. The third part of the thesis focuses on celebrating catholic holidays and family celebrations.
